Not many. L-3 was a better company.

I have worked in the field for 23 years: 13 years with Engility (and predecessors such as L-3). I have been through FIVE different mergers or buyouts. In all cases, EXCEPT Engility, our benefits stayed about the same or got better. As others have mentioned, Engility reduced PTO for long timers by a week, cut the 401K matching to ZERO, and gave no raises or cost of living increases for years. CEO claims he got no raises either, but fails to mention the millions in stock options he received! FY15 funding fell short, and while most of my team had enough PTO to cover several weeks of the gap, Engility decided to just lay us off with 1 day notice, instead of putting us admin leave or leave without pay like the predecessor companies did. Upper management is incompetent and corrupt: because they didn't give use enough advanced notice, several ex-employees had to spend hours of their own time, WITHOUT PAY, to take care of matters that should have been done using an indirect labor charge number. For example, they wanted us to returning the company laptops, but were too incompetent to figure out how to ship FEDEX boxes with return labels to us, (even with three weeks to figure it out), so they wanted us to drive hours to return the equipment instead of paying their own employees to pick it up.

    Advice to Management

Stop focusing on the short term gains and your stock options. By doing so, you are destroying any long term potential.
