I worked at Entertainment Cruises as an intern

    Pros

I worked for Entertainment Cruises in the Chicago Reservation Center as an intern for two consecutive summers. If you are looking to get your foot into the business/sales world, this is an awesome place to start. The EC culture is awesome. Management is friendly, supportive, and committed to making sure you get better each week. You will have the opportunity to meet so many amazing people and even go on free cruises and intern outings all summer. This is a paid internship with the chance to make commission as well (no cold calling). At the end of the summer, if you do really well you can be promoted to a Sales Team Lead Intern and get a chance to be a part of management. Put in the work and you will not only make that $$, but you will have an awesome internship to throw on your resume when you graduate.

    Cons

The main con when I was there was the building. It was under construction the entire summer of 2014. However, they just moved to a brand new office in the NBC Tower in Chicago, so that's pretty cool.

Sure, sales isn't for everyone and I wasn't sure it was even for me. But I cannot think of a better way to test if it's something you would be good at than trying it out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I can't speak for the management of each city (I only worked in Chi-City), but as far as the Chicago Res Center Management goes, they are awesome. Management is fairly young so they can relate to you. They have all been promoted from within it seems, so they have done the same job they expect you to do too. My main advice would be to keep making it a fun place to work.
