I worked at Equity Staffing Group full-time (Less than a year)
Working at Equity will teach you the red flags to look for in your next job search. They also pay for happy hour or lunch occasionally.
You will be overpromised in your interview. There are two sectors, national accounts and local IT. If you are working in National Accounts, you are promised high volume reqs daily, but then you are made aware that is only during "project season" which is May-August. If you are working in IT, expect to "put in your time" working for disrespectful account managers on dead-end jobs. The environment is toxic, full of negative energy. The owners only value profit, not people. The average tenure is far less than a year. Your job is never guaranteed. The executive and tenured team is just a bunch of Modis misfits, who couldn't keep a job there. As a recruiter, you do not have the resources you need to get candidates in the door. No onboarding process, no payroll process. Checks are always wrong or late, to you or your consultants. If you quit or are fired, you will not get your full commission or expenses paid, so expect to lose some money in your last month. They may have been successful in the past, but I don't expect this company to last the year. Do yourself a favor and keep looking...
Advice to Management
Humans are the key to success. Reduce the turnover. Eliminate those poisoning the environment. Put in solid processes. Be involved in the agency.
