    I worked at Ericsson-Worldwide full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Strong management support, including Manager, Director, & V.P.
    Task assignments are clearly defined.
    Freedom to complete assignments with a minimum of oversight, an ideal situation for personnel with strong skills and previous experience.
    Meaningful periodic status reports to management, giving credit where due and minimizing reporting into a black hole!
    Opportunity given to provide status to Director or V.P. level for critical projects. Support is typically offered and acted on when requested!

    Cons

    -Frequent changes in work methodologies between Ericsson and the client aren't communicated well or in a timely fashion.
    -Process documentation typically exists via PowerPoint presentations and emails, rather than step by step procedures.
    -A single, central storage location for all Ericsson to client procedural documentation doesn't exist. Documentation may exist in several data stores, but is so poorly indexed, that hours can be wasted searching for the latest procedural document.
    -Required training is poorly presented and frequently requires a passing score of 100%. Tests frequently ask questions for which the answers aren't contained in the training material.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Provide an index for process documents and training material. Provide a direct link to those indices to every employee.
    Present process documentation in a step by step fashion (to the level that an outsider could understand without further explanation).
