I worked at Estée Lauder Companies as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great small team, great department camaraderie. Encouraging environment, emphasis on learning. Employees have access to a company store with discounted merchandise. As a contractor, I wasn't able to shop myself, but could enter the store and ask a friend to purchase for me.

    Cons

Never brought on full-time from agency due to fee. During my time there a full-time employee left, but I was passed over for the position for an acquaintance of the art director. This wasn't unusual. If you can get in full-time from the start, there is a lot of room for growth and to jump brands. It's hard to get it as a designer though.
