I have been working at Evernote full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I've felt challenged yet supported through my first year at Evernote. The managers, directors and VPs on the technical side are intelligent, capable, and understanding (haven't had much interaction with the non-technical managers). Everyone is intensely focused on their work, and tries to live up to the high expectations of management, which I appreciate. Literally no one I've met is coasting. Love the perks, like a basically free electric car, Caltrain pass, and, especially, Tea Time Tuesdays. And, sushi for lunch on a regular basis.

    Cons

The location, while a short walk from the Caltrain station, is a really difficult commute for most people in SF. There's a shuttle bus with limited stops in the city, so if you're close to that or close to Caltrain, you're set. Would love to see a satellite office in SF!

You can tell this company is rapidly growing, and has very typical growing pains. People make mistakes, but I haven't seen many big ones.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Generally keep doing what you're doing. It's obviously been working, as you have a smart, hard-working team and a great culture. Continue to look for ways to keep the staff engaged, as the team is everything. New employees sometimes have a hard time integrating... consider holding meet-and-greet events for new employees to help people get to know them.
