I have been working at Evolent Health full-time for more than a year

    - The people that work here are all incredibly smart and talented.
    - People farther along in their careers are extremely willing to spend a little extra time and effort to help develop junior employees.
    - Things move very fast so you will never be bored, and you will learn and do a TON! Most people here equate a few months at Evolent with a year+ anywhere else.
    - A lot of attention is paid to the continued development of the culture which is appreciated.
    - If there is an issue that has been identified, a lot of effort will be made to solve for it.

    - Can be unclear what merits promotions /raises.
    - The typical issues that can occur with a "start-up" organization that employs over 600 people.
    - Your personal satisfaction (and work/life balance) is usually pretty dependent upon your manager /their expectations but that happens anywhere.
    - if you can't multi-task or constantly re-prioritize over the course of a given day/week, you might not succeed here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to strive for transparency. When moving so quickly with so many balls in the air, the context for various organizational decisions isn't always communicated. That communication and involvement is important to employee satisfaction.

Put into place an incentive system for managers. The great managers aren't really rewarded for going out of their way to be so awesome, and the mediocre/bad managers don't have any reason to strive to do better.
