Good benefits and compensation, diverse company business units
Don't take the company rating of 3.9 too seriously when you have HR sending out a campaign of email telling employees to enter ratings on Glassdoor to get the rating up. Questionable strategy, industry challenges, weak leadership in some areas. Corporate functions, are 'in-bred' and highly political with an 'insider/outsider' culture. Advancement of marginal performers is relationship-based. Inappropriate behavior is tolerated at a remarkable rate. There is a trend of strong leaders exiting due to lack of advancement opportunities. Exelon is becoming a house of cards.
Advice to Management
There is a growing culture of individualism that is deteriorating the foundation of the company. There's a remarkable number of people in leadership positions with little to no leadership skills and capability. That has a significant trickle-down impact. Look deeper into organizations to understand the quality of leaders and who the people are with the real talent but sit outside the political circle. Those are the ones leaving/thinking about leaving. Take the exit of women seriously. Word on the street is that Exelon has an issue w/gender-based discrimination against women.
