    I worked at Extreme Reach

I had the pleasure of working with a handful of people who I deeply admired and enjoyed going to work with everyday.

I have never worked in a company with such entirely poor morale across the board. Lots of bureacracy and red tape held up projects, leading to many late nights and weekends. In the end, I was transitioned to contractor status, only to be laid off weeks later along with dozens of others. While this worked out great for the company (since I was no longer a regular "employee", they did not have to cover any of my unemployment benefits,) it has been devastating for me and my family. For a company that stresses value and culture so much, I can't help but feel this was a cold and calculated move that goes against all of those supposed values.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you have to put up signs in the office explaining how great your company culture is, that's a red flag. If layoffs are eminent, at least have the decency to provide your employees with the safety net of unemployment benefits.
