I have been working at Family Dollar Stores full-time for more than a year

The hours are okay. The MINIMUM you work is 30hrs a week. You get paid extra if you work on the Holidays such as Easter and Christmas.

Maybe its just my store, but there's no potlucks, breaks, gift exchanges during the holidays-NO FUN WHATSOVER. Hate how the store closes @ 10pm. Family Dollar attracts Varieties of low class customers such as- crackheads, thieves, homeless people and ghetto people, so you have to be prepared to handle that. THERE ARE NO RAISES,There are employees who have been working here for over 4 years and still getting paid the same. Don't be surprised if your store gets robbed, there has been a few! The store is DRAINING of ENERGY

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make Family Dollar a more FUN place to work. Create contests sometimes. Throw Potlucks every once in a while! otherwise if employees are not encouraged, they are going to want to quit!
