I worked at Family Dollar Stores

At the time I worked with an awesome team of people and equally amazing manager. We often had get-togethers after work hours to blow off steam and I was fortunate enough to stay with the company long enough to get to know the customers. Looking back at that year now, I think it was great compared to the things I have to deal with despite all the drama and bad days at work.
It's ridiculously easy to move up...but it's hard work once you get there. I was made Service Assistance/Assistant Manager really fast and had to step down because it was much too overwhelming.

Benefits suck so much, you are better without it.
    You are a work mule.
Upper management expects way too much work to be done for little pay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please pay employees better and offer better benefits. It would reduce the turn-over rate and show you care about your employees about as much as your customer base.
