I have been working at Farmers Insurance Group full-time (Less than a year)

3rd largest insurance company in US. Well known well respected company and products. Good training program.

If you are new to the insurance industry this is not for the faint of heart. They offer a new reserve agent program. They expect a lot of skin in the game. You will have a lot of out of pocket expenses from study material, testing, fingerprinting, background check, marketing, gas, etc. They will expect for you to get 40 P&C and 4 life before you can even career. It's do able but it's not easy. Once you career they will pay you a subsidy. But don't be fool that is a small business loan they are offering. If you don't maintain 40 + 4 that subsidy will be removed. If you loose your contract you will have to pay back that subsidy. Think hard before moving forward. I think someone who has been in the industry would be a better match.

    Advice to Management

I think your recruiters need to CLEARLY spell out the details of the reserve program.
