I have been working at Federal Bureau of Prisons full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Benefits, hours, stability, retirement and locations of prisons

    Cons

No weekends off for up to two years if you are a rookie, very clique, a majority of older staff have negative attitudes and treat you like you are the lowest scum on earth, HR department can be unreliable at times. If you want to apply for an open job you can, but its pointless because they give it to the person they put in their to work there until the position is filled.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take turns rotating newer staff out for weekends off, because if not, my generation will not stay and work, they will look for something else.
