Great benefits, lots of holidays and good people, but incentives are off.

I worked at Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis full-time for more than 3 years

The starting pay is fantastic and you'll be working with some very talented people. Management is often quick to back a good idea. Ongoing education is encouraged and compensated for. On-site dining and coffee are more than adequate and the exercise facilities are top-notch.

Poor choices in middle-management result in large inequalities in work distribution. Key products are not properly supported, resulting in dramatic and excessive reactions when products fail. For an economic institution, they seem to have quite an issue properly valuing their marginal revenue product of labor.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take the time to truly understand how your staff are spending their time, and listen to those in your organization who are truly driving growth instead of resting on their laurels.
