    Pros

    You learn a lot about effectively communicating with customers and how to build impulse in order to sell products. Can't really think of any other pros besides that

    Cons

    Well for starters they aren't very upfront about pay and what the job entails during the interview process. You're told that you will be paid an hourly base AND commission only to find out that it's a strictly commission based job after you join the team. You're also going to be dealing with extremely long hours as well as far commutes just to get to the field. Oh yea and the "field" is a walmart that you're going to be standing in trying to sell directv (this was the campaign they are currently on) to random people in store. A typical day here is meeting up at the office at around 10:30 for sales training and campaign details. At around 12:30 or 1 you are sent to lunch and then expected to hit the field. They tell you that you only have to work til 6:30 but really if you dont stay until 8 you will be looked at as a slacker. They tell you that you're compensated for both your gas and cell phone but I never saw a single penny of that. Also the "business trips" that you take are actually just road trips that you must pay for out of pocket, excluding the hotel fare, and you can expect to be staying in a grungy motel-6 or something along those lines and you're still going to be standing in Walmarts all day just in a new city. Finally most people never actually make any money in this business as they're all either in supplement ( pay that you owe back to the company) or quit after they realized the real nature of this company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be more straight forward about what the position really is and how pay is structured. Stop lying to potential employees about what they're really signing up for
