    I have been working at Ferman Automotive full-time (more than an year)


    Lots of money to be made if you're good!


    This is referring to the Chevy branch in Tampa...

    They expect you to train every single day even if you are a seasoned veteran, regardless of how many cars you sell. They expect you to use scripted canned speeches that includes a tiresome robotic 3 minute intro!

    Verbally abusive management.

    Expected to work bell to bell (open to close) until you put out 8 cars...even if you have a proven record there to sell 10+ every month!

    Sales meetings are on a Friday morning so you are expected to come in if it is your day off, unpaid of course since you are a commissioned sales person. Also if you work the late schedule you still have to come in early on Friday. Even though the full sales force works bell to bell on Saturday, they choose to inconvenience their sales people and make them all come in for that meeting on Friday, rather than switch it to Saturday.

    Makes zero sense!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire good salespeople and get rid of your canned salespeople. You've lost some of your talented sales force because they refuse to be cookie cutter robots!

    Hire management that doesn't verbally abuse its employees.

    Lastly, if you claim your a family business, then treat people like family! This doesn't mean force people to work open to close (bell to bell) every single day until you hit 8 cars! It would take every person until the last week or two in the month to get there so for the first two weeks the floor is flooded and morale is down because we didn't get a break or time to see our families. This does not transmit to better sales, it transmits to a worn down sales force.

    You don't need to retrain your staff to get better sales! You need to treat your staff better! When will you learn? Oh that's right, you've been in business over 100 years...you know better...that's why you payed top dollar for JMNA to come in and help you in your failing business model. Take it from top talent you lost...
