    I worked at Fidessa full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Good learning opportunities for the business of equity and derivatives training. Fairly good work/life balance. Excellent benefits, including health insurance, vacation, etc.

    Cons

    The U.S. division is in transition, though it's not clear to employees where they're going (other than to be more lean). There have been many lay-offs, especially of well-tenured personnel. The HR process for evaluating employees was completely overhauled, but then the HR person who championed this change was laid off. Very strange message to employees. Beware of promotions to low-middle management, as it may ultimately be a death sentence.

    Compensation is no better than average, and certainly much lower than Wall St banks. Raises have been hard to come by in the previous few years.
