I have been working at Fielding full-time (More than 5 years)
Health insurance benefit is pretty good. The HMO provider in the area, Sansum, has been good for me. You can accrue up to 200 vacation hours as any given time, amounts to about 5 weeks paid time off. Administrative offices are in Santa Barbara, CA which is a beautiful place to work and live. Overall I have felt appreciated at work my leadership. Day to day tasks to contribute to helping students achieve advanced degrees. Organizational Values are worth wild.
Santa Barbara is an expensive place to live and so it can be challenging as Fielding offers good, but not great salaries. Organization is relatively small. There are not many opportunities for advancement. Enrollments are down in Graduate Education industry wide, Fielding is feeling the crunch as well. Solid leadership is in place and I believe that to organization will survive, if not thrive, but this is not a place to work if the goal is to make lots of money.
