    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Cultured place to work, great benefits, and salary. Scaled to San Francisco even though its a private employer. The employees are generally a friendly group with an appreciation for the arts.

    Cons

There is entirely too much politics in this place. The board generally has no backbone and usually defers to the whims of one particular director who uses the museum as her own personal playground. Very destructive to the museum and its staff ad is a prime contributor to really low morale.

    Advice to Management

You risk alienating the donor base in San Francisco by being dishonest and corrupt in your dealings. This kind of high level corruption cannot and will not be tolerated.
