    Pros

    The organizational culture is a definite plus. Co-workers are generally very professional and willing to assist one-another without hesitation. The company has and continues to implement significant organizational, functional, strategic and corporate change. The First Date of 2013 no longer exists with vast and sweeping improvements. The changes has ushered in a strong sense of no limits on what a team member can accomplish - as they say "the sky is the limit".

    Cons

    While the changes implemented are needed and provide significant benefit as mentioned above, it is not without risk and burden on the team members. There is significant ambiguity in various processes being revised causing sub-optimization of resources;
    -additional and unnecessary time and effort required of team members
    -team member confusion on direction and filling in the gaps
    -heightened team member and departmental frustration.

    If you are not able to embrace change quickly and almost on a daily basis - I would strongly reconsider any position with this company.

    Advice to Management

    The churn at the Executive Committee level as been extreme and rarely at the pace set at First Data over the last 24-30 months. While the benefits are evident and already being realized, additional effort to articulate details through-out the entire organization is strongly encouraged. The old "silo structure" is not completely eliminated causing multiple interpretations of the executive message and desired functional changes at the departmental level. Greater detail or structure and a designated change management team would be a significant benefit for the team members and ultimately the client.
