I worked at Fisher Investments full-time (more than 3 years)Pros
Pay is okay for the hours worked, 401k 50% match and benefits.Cons
People are scared of their managers, and their managers are scared of their managers. It then moves even further up from there. No one has a back bone and everyone is scared of their superiors.
There are some serious issues across departments, especially if you are on the client facing side. Certain departments are lazy, in my opinion, and some were really understaffed while I was there.
I honestly enjoyed working with individual clients when I first started there, but the amount of stress that fisher puts on you, and how many I had to service made me never want to do it again. I honestly didn't have enough time in the day to have worthwhile conversations with each client, especially when you have to take very detailed notes after every call. I've since told myself that I won't work on the private client side again.
One last thing. The campus is literally out in the middle of no where. While it's nice living in WA without state sales tax, it's really boring. You also have to either bring a lunch each day or go off campus because there's nothing really close by without having to walk nearly a mile at least.Advice to ManagementAdvice
