I worked at Florida Orthopaedic Institute full-time

    Pros

Great PTO benefits and just benefits overall are nice.
Fun atmosphere to work in. All the Dr's, PA's, NP's and medical assistants in the back are great!
The processing of patients is pretty efficient for how many you see.
Everyone working there is there to work and they do so with good attitudes.
It's a really great place to work - I was sad to move away.

    Cons

Sometimes it gets a little crazy in the Brandon office due to answering phones and rushes of patients.
Some of the Dr's have long wait times and patients complain so you have to be able to smile and say it's going to be a little longer.
Ins team in Tampa office that verifies ins coverage sometimes don't check things completely and patients will be concerned or confused at deductibles saying they are not met when they are.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think there could be a little bit more training as far as understanding insurances and deductibles for the front desk employees. Patients are face to face with them and will ask them questions and sometimes will be irritated that they do not know the answer or cannot tell whether something may have been input wrong or the patient is confused. It's not very easy to tell them to call someone else for the answer that you can not help. But awesome company. Fun to work for :)
