    I have been working at Ford Motor as a contractor for more than 10 years

    Pros

    The vast majority of people here are conscientious, cooperative, friendly, and smart. The work is challenging, while (for most of us) not so much as to to be a stress burden.

    Cons

    Because Ford no longer makes all of its components, obtaining consistent quality between suppliers can be a time- consuming effort. Lab space for evaluating quality of production parts can be difficult, requiring over-reliance on supplier evaluations. Purchasing small items for measuring component quality is difficult and sometimes impossible due to company procedures and requirements.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Provide a way to make small purchases quickly, such as a corporate credit card. Provide more support for quality evaluations at Ford facilities, in terms of both space and funding.
