I worked at Four Seasons Health Care full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Working with elderly clients and their families is a privilege. The majority of staff are well intentioned and aim to give their best in spite of care being a low paid

    Cons

Too much emphasis is placed on audits and paperwork, a lot of duplication taking the focus away from daily interaction with residents and their families. There is a lack of professionalism from middle management upwards.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To listen to what is being fed up the line and to stop trying to replace care with bits of paper to "evidence" what there is no time left to do. ie care and spend time with people. To treat staff with the respect they deserve.
