Current Employee - Server in Exeter, PA

I have been working at Fox Hill Country Club part-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

you can definitely make good money being a server or bartender here, most customers are very nice and some generous, nice work environment, may be able to get another good job from customers

    Cons

management fires existing employees and hires his past employees, no job security, difficult to obtain benefits, no fringe benefits, some co- workers are not trustworthy, some customers can be very nasty, cheap, and picky, management fires good supervisors and absolutely no promotions or moving up in the company, employees are not allowed to tell members why someone was fired or who made that decision which is difficult because they like to know whats going on in their club; MUST work ALL holidays, no excuses and no extra money for these holidays; servers get paid the same amount as another employee who may stand there all day making sure there is bread out at all times unless you get tips from members

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

realize you don't know everything about Fox Hill, firing people that customers have known for decades is not making the customer experience better; this actually makes the members upset and angry, the members are accustomed to certain people and these employees know everything the members want or need and you take away a lot from the customer experience, this is why you're losing membership

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
