Current Employee - Administration in Framingham, MA
Current Employee - Administration in Framingham, MA

I have been working at Framingham Public School as a contractor (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The students are great; however, the administrative leadership team is extremely dysfunctional. They have no clear focus and are addressing too many issues at once. For example, I heard building principals complaining that the curriculum director is in over her head because she does not have knowledge of each of the different school's needs.

    Cons

Central office is not supportive of the building administrators. This has led to large administrative turnover. The central office leadership doesn't support the teachers or the school administrators.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Truly understand the needs of each of the schools. Central office staff needs to spend more time in the individual school buildings. It is a very complex district, therefore,a one size fits all approach will not work.
