I have been working at Furniture Brands International full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I work in the contact center and I have met, and worked with some really great people. The brands are decent, and so is the pay & benefits for a customer service role. Good in-between job, and the discount on furniture isn't too bad.

    Cons

The Center Director has no formal education or training on managing a group this size in this industry. Poor management, and unrealistic business practices. Not to mention in-house HR is totally helpless. I can see why this company is in a bankruptcy. Management sucks from the top to the bottom. Does anyone calling the shots have a degree? I know plenty of current employees that would be great candidates.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Go back to school and get some more training in the field to help better manage your people. It might just help the morale of the place if management at least pretended to care!
