I worked at Furniture Row full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

pays well if you are highly motivated to load the truck and deliver it. When i say load I mean load it full call and schedule with the customers to get their product delivered. If you are motivated to work hard you can make between 600.00 -1200.00 dollars per week. if you aren't too motivated you can expect a check of 200-300 per week as a driver. as a driver you are not stuck in the building, you have a lot of free time to listen to music. you can eat at the places you like. you get to learn your way around the area you live in a lot better.

    Cons

communication is poor, employee loyalty is very poor. the hiring process is dated amd it takes about a month to get hired on, longer if there are issues with your driving record or your background check. plan on staying in the position you apply for for a long time because you will not be moved to a new position very fast. Morale of the employees that work in the more physical aspect of the job reflects the way that they are treated by the employees that don't. It is hard to receive respect when others order you around. "let's see" no incentives to improve work performance, and no pats on the back, I think they think your paycheck check is a pat on the back.

    Advice to Management

Try to upgrade your technology so that the employees can better communicate, when product will be there, and when we can schedule deliveries. Follow through on your Mission Statement. Also using a POS system that is older than some of your employees is not a good way to have accuracy when you are trying to keep up with customers and track money , and the whereabouts of your orders.
