I worked at Futureproof Marketing as an intern (Less than a year)
There are so many pros to list when it comes to Futureproof. The agency provides an amazing atmosphere in which to work, where everybody in the company is involved with the aim of producing outstanding creative output. The main element to Futureproof is the way in which the teams operate. The collaboration between the Creative, digital, brand management and office services teams ensures near seamless delivery of the agency’s output, and makes for an excellent process to be a part of. Another outstanding factor to Futureproof is the structure of the agency. There isn’t necessarily a top-down structure to the company, and as an intern, I was able to work in collaboration with junior, mid-weight and senior members of staff, and even a head of department. This makes for a great experience, especially coming into the agency as an intern. Working in such a highly collaborative manner is certainly one of the main principles that I took away with me after leaving. I was an intern at the agency, and one of things that struck me the most was how everybody was informed and aware of the company’s performance. Whilst in other agencies, this is sometimes regarded as clandestine information, at Futureproof it is one of the topics of the weekly meeting at the start of each week. As an intern I wouldn’t have thought that I would be allowed access to such information, and was pleasantly surprised to find the contrary. The result of this is that everybody knows what they need to be focusing on to ensure the agency’s success, and although as an intern there is little else besides your work that you can do to contribute, it certainly provided another interesting dimension to the agency, that again is testament to their team oriented environment. As a creative intern, I sat and mainly worked with the creative team. Everybody was incredibly friendly, and I very much enjoyed working with them all. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel like a full-fledged member of the team, which is something I feel the agency can offer to all potential interns. When you enter the agency, you are assigned a mentor when you enter the agency, who, based on my experience, will endeavour to ensure you’re enjoying and getting the most out of your experience at the agency (which I certainly feel I did). To make the most of your experience, you simply need to apply yourself at Futureproof and your hard work is rewarded. I was able to work on wide range of the agencies main clients, which was so enjoyable, and added an eye-catching boost to my CV. Yet another plus to Futureproof, is the fact that your hardwork never goes unnoticed, and I certainly felt that as I worked harder throughout my time at the agency, I was rewarded with more responsibility and interesting work to do, which I very much appreciated. In summary, you can rest assured that you will have a positive experience with Futureproof. Even if things go wrong, the team will be behind you 100% to get things on track. The spirit of teamwork that the agency exudes is wonderful thing to observe and even better to partake in. If you go into the agency, as long you are willing to work hard, your career will be better enriched for the experience.
The words ‘negative’ and ‘Futureproof’ do not belong in the same sentence, and it’s the same story when it comes to working there – there aren’t any negatives. Of course, the work itself can be challenging, but this is the nature of the industry, and the team at Futureproof meet all challenges head on. It can be tough keeping up with every task you’ve been asked to do, especially if they spread across multiple clients. Yet the teams are there to support you every step of the way, from junior members to the leadership, so you never feel out of sorts. I’ll keep this section deliberately short as it relates to negative feedback, and as I’ve said, I have none to give!
