I worked at G2 Technologies full-time for less than a year

If you recently graduated or you are hard up for a job, this might be a good place to hang your hat for a year while you find the job you need.

The success of any business is creating a vision and developing a company culture and team to pursue it. G2's vision is developing and delivering solutions for its customers. This endeavor is compromised by chronic over-commitment and non-delivering to their customers. This is a regular pattern caused by a core weakness of bad ethics and lack of loyalty to its employees.

My responsibilities consisted of designing the electrical hardware for automated systems used for test, inspection, and assembly. Other responsibilities were supporting manufacturing in building and testing of these systems. Typical work week consisted of constantly changing priorities. This would not have been an issue except that none of these projects were scheduled for manufacturing build.

Changing priorities for no apparent reason is one of several examples of poor management at G2. Design reviews were supposed to be mandatory for every project completed, yet only one out of the four projects I completed had a formal design review. Not adhering to policy and allowing poor planning produced inconsistent results; nothing got completed on time. It was not uncommon to have uncompleted projects on the manufacturing floor for almost two years. This is certainly not a way to run a business.

Communication was a systemic problem at G2. The president refused written orders in favor of verbal, as the outcome of any dispute would conveniently fall into his favor whether he was right or not.

Verbal abuse was common during my last month at G2. As an out of state Engineer, I was offered relocation assistance. When re-imbursement was submitted, the company changed the contract conditions in its favor. In the meantime I was harassed and humiliated for almost a month until I was terminated (after 4 months) without a PIP. G2 refuses to answer a NC DES inquiry over this matter. A formal complaint to the state is pending.

My dealings with G2 were very negative and rightfully so is my review. The president lacks integrity. I deeply regret accepting an offer from this company and wish I had read this review first. If you still wish to seek employment here, you have been warned.
