Salary is competitive with area, benefits aren't are good as they used to be, but are still ok.
You are just a number
Layoffs occur at least once a year
They don't understand how to manage software process, try and force it into hardware process, which slows down and hampers the process
It's all about the bottom line. They layoff employees and then can't do the work to create a profit for the next year.
Hiring and budget freezes occurs after first quarter
Seem to be hiring more contractors than actual full time employees.
Advice to Management
Stop making decisions 6 levels about where the actual work is being done. Listen to the people who are doing the jobs.
