    Pros

It's really hard to rate my experience at GE Healthcare, because an employee's experience can vary so greatly depending on their location, function, manager, etc. I started out as a CLP and went into a Product Sales Specialist Role. GE is an amazing company with great leadership. They invest in their employees, whether it's Crotonville, leadership training at the Center for Connected Medicine, or back in Milwaukee at HCI. If you are in sales as a PSS/AM/SAM, etc. your experience will greatly depend on your manager and account community. Generally people that excel at GE on the commercial team and self driven and extremely motivated. Type A personalities do well, and people who understand they must quantify their impact.

    Cons

Sometimes I felt like I was working for the government. It is a giant company, and they are constantly looking to make numbers look better at the end of the quarter. I saw a lot of good people get laid off in RIFS (reduction in forces) which was always scary. There's a lot of change which I feel like you'd wouldn't expect from a large corporation, but people were always jumping around in positions and division were divided or eliminated.

    Advice to Management

Keep good talent. Get rid of the waste. There are a lot of people that are kept around and I'm still not sure what they do on a day to day basis. If you want to keep up with the Google's of the world you are going to need to be lean, simple, and attractive to young talent. LISTEN to your sales team. They are the ones in the field with your customers.
