    I worked at Gateway Foundation full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    I consider the pro's to be the correction staff and non management co-workers.

    Cons

    The lack of accountability in upper management when unethical behaviors are displayed regularly, lack of sobriety within upper management staff and last but not least the lack of pay. This is the lowest paid facility for the amount of work expected out of staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    The upper management decisions are inconsistent and do not promote the gateway program of recovery. They truly believe they can do what they want when they want with no accountability. There is no consistency in there decision making skill. The lack of professionalism is ruining the company name and societies confidence that loved one's will be helped. This particular facility has become a joke for the Gateway Foundation. Really upper management should be sober when educating clients to remain sober in recovery. Owners need to pay attention to non management staff in order to maintain staff employment with their company. Owners give the perception they do not care about the verbal abuse or harassment that take place at this facility through the lack of accountability. The lack of staff motivation within the company leads to many facilities having to run with minimal staff which leads to burn out. For a non profit organization to say recovery is there center focus they have really let this facilities staff down. Their focus centers around numbers that are controlled by the shady behavior of the Director and not the well being of the clients or employees.
