Former Employee - Technical Writer in San Diego, CA

I worked at General Atomics full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

schedule (9/80 work week), terrific people to work with, company is loyal--does not have a hire-and-fire mentality like other government contracting companies

    Cons

Can be difficult to move up, some employees get "comfortable" and are difficult to motivate

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Maintain your HR policies, continue proactive programs to prepare for future reduced government spending

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
