    Former Employee - Recruiter
    Former Employee - Recruiter

I worked at General Employment Enterprises full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There are very few good people left at this company. General Employment which includes AshleyEllis/OmniOne have a big problem with mis-management that stems from the corporate office. Poor decisions, lack of quality leadership and many, many untruths have resulted in entire offices resigning, including top producers and sr recruiters who had been there for a long time.

    Cons

The entire company nationwide is a bit confused as to what is happening at the corporate office and naperville (until now that was a top producing office). An entire new department was created for a manager and to date has not produced anything, they even hired another manager to help. When recruiters don't produce that is not exactly the same outcome, so a bit of a double standard is being seen there. There are also complaints from multiple offices that the new department (nationals) is just collecting and working on real recruiters clients instead of actually brining in their own which is incredibly frustrating, I suppose that will be even easier if people keep leaving at this rate, it sounds like one resignation per week there. It is unfortunate, it seems it was once a great place to work (I had a taste), but the writing is on the wall and in the financials for that matter, google those for any company you are looking into please. Also, there is some concern that when you google the current CEO you find many lawsuits, mugshots etc filed against him from past companies. I've learned that good people don't stay at bad companies no matter what. And unsavory people/management seem to flock to one another and will support each other's decisions no matter what the cost is to the company and no matter how many good people walk out the door, they really don't care at all. Multiple people have heard them say "no problem if entire offices walk, I'll just rebuild." So I guess they feel they can treat people however they want because good people are so easily replaced?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No advice to management, employees already tried that and its too late. Advice to anyone reading this...do your research on this or any other company you might look into, I sure wish I had sooner.
