The benefits were excellent until Kindred bought company.. when it was just Gentiva they had a heart. They cared about their patients and their employees.
Since Kindred it is all about bottom line profit. The heart is gone. The benefits have declined. They say if a pt sees a nurse more then five times in a 60 day period it is a waste of money. They do not even have a contract with their employees primary insurance. So Gentiva can not provide care for their own staff.
Advice to Management
Management should use the adult to adult communication style instead of the current style adult to child. Adult child management only works in a parent child relationship and then only for a few years. Their management style is punitive and counterproductive.
