    I have been working at Georgia State University full-time for more than 3 years


    Tuition Assistance Program

    Good work-life balance depending on the department


    The pay
    Management caves under pressure and does not back you up if a student makes enough noise
    If your department is not a favorite of upper management, you're left to fend for yourselves
    In certain departments,there is the possibility of being left out to dry. If you're making management look good, they love you. If there is an issue (even if its not your fault) and it makes management look bad, they throw you under the bus.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stand by your employees that are trying to uphold the policy YOU created. Also, develop and groom your employees for moving up. Encourage them to take training and development courses instead of hindering them from attending. Understand that the amount of work being put on the employees is far above the amount it should be based on the pay. Come to the defense of your employee instead of leaving them out to dry.
