I have been working at Georgia State University full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great department coworkers, strong mentorship if you cultivate it yourself

    Cons

Opacity regarding how teaching courses are decided. I was an MIS student who taught Speech 1000 most of my time there, which made me feel really discounted in spite of having great teaching evaluations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to place students in teaching positions within their own areas and give more transparency in the process.
