I worked at Gesa Credit Union full-time (Less than a year)
The salaries are competitive and the training staff is very friendly. At a glance Gesa seems to be nice to work for...
I was hired from another company to work the same job as I was before. I was praised and given a decent amount of responsibility and was never told I was insufficient at any part of my job. The department I was in was severely behind and I was able to catch them up to be ahead within two months as well as implemented a few new processes to solve some of the problems they had been facing. At my 90 day review I was told they had decided to not continue with my employment just as I was supposed to receive my benefits and paid time off. I had been given no reason or indication as to why this decision was made and my main boss didn't even take the time out to be there for the termination meeting. I found it to be extremely disrespectful and cowardly to me as an individual and can only chalk this up to either Gesa not wanting to pay my salary or that I did not fit in enough for them. I left a job with better pay and benefits to leave a toxic situation and was rewarded with no explanation for termination.
