    I worked at GlobalEnglish full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    * Work life balance
    * Many dedicated and passionate people who believe in the product and its ability to change peoples lives in the world
    * Great international community of employees across all of Pearson
    * Important charter to help people learn English and better their lives

    Cons

    * Lack of investment has created a product that reads as a bit stale
    * Difficult to operate in the context of a major Pearson re-organization - creates too much internal focus and not enough external market focus
    * New leadership recently put in place lacks the experience, talent and ability to operationalize the business and succeed in rudimentary business processes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    * Grow up and understand your gaps in experience so that you can rely on those who might be able to help you lead more successfully.
    * Create an environment that is more inclusive so that more ideas and insight can be shared
    * Have real discussions with subject matter experts, really listen and exchange ideas instead of talking at people

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
