    Positive Outlook

I worked at GlobalGiving as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Wonderful, friendly work atmosphere. Made you look forward to coming to work on Monday morning. Excited about the projects I was involved in and loved how the staff made you feel welcome and valued. Honestly, would recommend this internship to anyone interested in international development and looking to have a maturing, invigorating, and enjoyable summer internship! Some of my favorite aspects of working at GG: - weekly check-ins with your supervisor - listening in and participating at your Team meetings (be it Program, Business Development, or Tech) - collaborating on projects with other members of your Team - opportunity for individual project you can present at a staff meeting - chance to hear "Brown Bags" over lunch, where speakers outside the office or your fellow co-workers would lead a presentation on something of general interest - emphasis put on intern's professional development from an interview workshop led by Kevin to an intern networking series with interns from other international development organizations in the DC metro area

    Cons

Didn't bother me too much, because still had some college to go, but several of my fellow interns were disappointed there wasn't more of an opportunity for advancement. It's a non-profit that's definitely growing, but don't get too attached to the hope of working here at the end of the summer.

    Advice to Management

So glad to be part of your community for a summer! Hope that the culture will continue to stay the same even as the company grows.
