I have been working at Glu full-time (More than a year)

Culture is getting much better from when I started and still improving. Benefits aren't bad but "fringe" benefits could be better in order to attract more talent. The people are GREAT but the company needs to figure out how to retain them. Free snacks and drinks are a nice perk but a lunch or even breakfast would be a nice gesture every once in a while, not just for all-hands which are only once a quarter.

Lack of infrastructure is incredible considering how long the company has been around. There are levels of arrogance throughout that cultivates bad and disrespectful behavior. Some teams are horribly under-staffed and resourced which means too much work with unrealistic expectations from management. "Work/life balance" is often mentioned but does not actually apply. It's all work.

    Advice to Management

If we want to be seen as a "Leader in mobile gaming", let's start acting as one. The market is blazing hot. You are going to continue to lose really good people if you arrogantly think Glu is that great. I'd say it's an above average company, but NOWHERE near as good as some others I've worked at where the main focus is making sure the employees are happy. Happy people means productive people which means they are willing to put in more effort when necessary. Why is there no real marketing department? I read the comments on Facebook and I shudder because nobody seems to care to respond to the people who ACTUALLY PLAY OUR GAMES. It's inexcusable.
