    Pros

Great engineering staff tackles challenging projects. You can own major parts of a cloud IaaS company and build them the way you think they should be.

    Cons

Management is oblivious. Top brass chooses initiatives that the market won't care about, then engineers are driven like rented mules until they leave for higher pay and better work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have talented employees. Give them a little rein to built exceptional products for you, and forbid middle management from over-planning them into despair.
