Do not accept an accounting position at the Phoenix location if you're already employed

Former Employee - Accounting Clerk in Phoenix, AZ

I worked at Golden State Foods as a contractor (less than an year)

GSF are the main suppliers to well known fast food restaurants, so there is good stability there and the business probably isn't overly complicated. A lot of people in the office seemed friendly.

Do not expect any training, in spite of whatever a recruiter may tell you. To make the cut, you probably have to be one of those quick learners who has worked everywhere and can tell others how to do their jobs. Otherwise, expect to be shown the door before the end of the week. A lot of the offices and cubes have mountains of paperwork, suggesting a lack of organization.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When it comes to hiring new employees, there is nothing wrong with the adage "try before you buy". However, please arrange with recruiters for the jobs to be temp jobs and not temp to hire. This will prevent someone from quitting a secure job somewhere else only to not work out at GSF days later.
