Values should change to "Use and Throw" and Vision to become like a "Game of Thrones" set

I worked at Golder Associates full-time (more than 8 years)

It was one of the best companies one could work in some time ago with regard to talent, culture, and general work life balance; anyone would love it. No idea how they managed to empower and engage so many bad apples and destroy the entire cart in a matter of 12 months.

There is too much to write on this - extremely poor management, unskilled human resources, pick and mix culture, wasteful, dodgy and manipulative with money, anything but transparent, discriminatory towards minorities, LGBT, women- cowboy management in a backyard who are paid too much; many barely even contribute to the revenue streams either directly or indirectly. One of the worst transitions done in the history of acquisitions leading to the unfortunate loss of so many key contributors from both ends.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop lying about what you can do, will do, should do and then finally don't do - rather just do it and empower those who are capable instead of driving them away. No one wants empty headed political talk - we needed leaders who understood the business both technically and strategically to support and care for the staff while building a sustainable business.

Do not waste resources on useless paperwork and excessive nonchargeable staff and then complain about profitability - try to be simple; go back to your roots - success lies in simplicity and quality - less is more - trim the wasteful and unskilled management fat and use the time and money to develop your EQ instead.
