I have been working at Golfsmith

I have obtained tons of customer service experience over the years and have learned how to work with different types of personalities.
I have also learned many organization techniques, how to be extremely detail oriented (which my job demands), data entry procedures and other computer skills that I would not have learned otherwise.
Men (customers) in this particual field of work can be extremely degrading, sexist, and rude towards women in the work place. I have experienced this first hand.

There is an extremely high turnover for sales associates at some locations. Because of this, there is a lack of training and new employees often become flustered when situations arise that they are unfamiliar with.
I have witnessed a 3 day new employee train a first day employee. Having someone undertrained training someone not trained at all led to many complications and errors over their hire period.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Follow through with proper training procedures and make sure that new hires are shadowing an experienced employee. This will greatly reduce internal and external error and loss.
