I have been working at Good Samaritan Hospital of Maryland full-time

    Pros

i have fairly decent health, dental and vision insurance. Very short commute.

    Cons

hard to get rid of poor workers and there are lots of them; poor communication among hospital units; abysmal raises and mediocre wages; dietary often runs out of certain food items and get clients' menus mixed up; outdated equipment; semi-private rooms are ill-equipped for many of the clients; the software programs that we use are a joke: we use 3 different programs to enter information and we still do a lot of writing!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It really pisses people off that the president of the hospital received a 20% raise last year and the CEO of Medstar received over 6 million. Oh, but we were told that most of that 6 million is retirement money. Must be why he's been here 21 years. Nice if you can get it.
