    Pros

Great team environment within the department. Wonderful coworkers, decent pay, and excellent exposure to the industry.

    Cons

Difficulties arise working across departments. Colleagues in other departments don't seem to understand that the compliance work needs to get done before they can proceed, and often compliance clearance timelines are beyond anyone's control.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The company needs to work on fostering trust by keeping a full-time permanent staff rather than rotating temps every 3-6 months, just when the workers are up to speed on the corporate protocols and on the substantive work, regulations, and procedures. The current model of terminating temps at or before their contracts end is counterproductive and short-sighted. The company needs to work on fostering trust among employees and across departments by keeping full-time staff in all departments, not by rotating temps in certain departments while keeping permanent employees in others. Any extra budget this might require is completely moot given the learning curve required to train new temps, and the general company-wide lack of cohesiveness every time new temps are brought on. This shortsightedness is eating into the company's bottom line without upper management realizing it.
