I worked at Grant Thornton International

Large enough to have good resources, small enough to know most people in your office. Up or out is good if you are at least an average performer (almost guaranteed promotion... eventually).

Pigeonholed by industry. If you want exposure to lots of industries, good luck! If you wind up on clients in an industry you don't enjoy or find interesting, it's difficult to change.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Heed the words of staff who are unhappy working on a particular client or in a particular industry and do what you can to implement more flexibility for horizontal movement. It may cut down on attrition.
