GT has many of the advantages of a large company with the feel of a small firm.

I have been working at Grant Thornton International full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Grant Thornton really has maintained a small organization feel in a large company. At GT, if you have ambition you can really excel. Associates and seniors work directly with directors and partners and can move up quickly as a result.

    Cons

Very focused on charge hours to the point where learning and development are sacrificed. The staff is not giving the time to complete pre-requisite training and are expected to do that after hours. Cheap to a fault. They are more than willing to let employees leave rather than compensate them appropriately.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on the long-term development of staff. It will pay off much more than a few extra charge hours a year.
