I worked at Grapevine-Colleyville ISD full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

GCISD is a student centered school district with supportive parents and community.
The administrative staff strives to be supportive and professional to all staff, teachers, custodians, lunch ladies, aids, bus drivers, etc. All understand that they are important to each child with which they come in contact.

    Cons

When an employee is found to be of bad character and not good for the children, it takes a long time to dismiss them. Equally, it is a challenge to obtain employment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More time observing and interacting with classroom instructors would do a lot for organizational health. It gives those on the front lines encouragement and a feeling that the admin cares and supports those on the front lines.
